Ross Sklar, President/CEO
Mr. Sklar is a chemical formulator, strategic planner and profound dealmaker. Based on Mr. Sklar’s experience, he has managed teams of engineers, chemists and sales and marketing personnel from product concept to full commercialization. Mr. Sklar’s ability to lead and manage people effectively is a crucial part of SEI’s success. A side from SEI, Mr. Sklar has started and sold a chemical distribution company, is a share holder in an industrial applications firm and owns real-estate holding company. He envisions a tremendous future for niche chemical players in the fields of material science, construction technology and alternative energy.
Having grown up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mr. Sklar had been exposed to the oil and gas industry from a young age. After finishing a feasibility study on a corrosion preventative technology in university, Mr. Sklar secured the distribution rights to a niche line of coatings and oil and gas production chemicals for the province Alberta. SEI Group began operations in his third year at U of M in 1996. By 1998, Mr. Sklar assembled an impressive team that collectively built and executed a strategic marketing plan that built SEI Group into a successful international chemical supplier. Mr. Sklar sold SEI Group in 1999 in Canada and organized SEI Chemical the following year in the US.
In 1999 Mr. Sklar incorporated SEI Chemical. Mr. Sklar holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Manitoba.

Professor V.C. Bud Jenkins, Technical Director
BS, MBA, JD, CHMM, CHWP
2008 marks the 50th years that Professor Jenkins has been in the field of chemical engineering, material science and coatings. Professor Jenkins brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as the Technical Director of SEI Chemical in Los Angeles. Professor Jenkins spearheads SEI’s research effort on safe technologies that provide unique efficacy and longevity that combat bacterial growth and fungi proliferation. The combination of technical, corporate and regulatory experience makes Professor Jenkins an invaluable member to the SEI team.

After law school, Professor Jenkins joined Ellis Paint Corporation. Professor Jenkins worked his way up through the company and held positions of Plant Manager, Environmental Health and Safety Officer, Operations Manager and ultimately he became the Companies Technical Director.
In 1990, Professor Jenkins became an independent chemical consultant to several major chemical firms in a variety of industries such as adhesives, sealants, concrete and plastics. Professor Jenkins has extensive experience in the field of antimicrobials and antimicrobial coating technologies and has been utilized as an expert witness in several microbiological cases.

Jiri Drobny, Chemist - Fluoropolymers
Mr. Drobny is a native of the Czech Republic and was educated at the Technical University in Prague in Chemical Engineering, and at the Institute of Polymer Science of the University of Akron in Physics and Engineering of Polymers. He also earned an MBA in Finance and Management at Shippensburg State University in Shippensburg, PA. Mr. Drobny's career spans over 35 years in the coatings, rubber and plastics processing industry in Europe, the US and Canada, mainly in R&D with senior and executive responsibilities. His expertise includes fluoropolymers, coatings, adhesives, radiation processing and thermoplastic elastomers.
Mr. Drobny is also active as a university educator, author of several books and scientific papers, coauthor of US and European patents and as technical and scientific translator. He is member of the Society of Plastic Engineers, RadTech International, American Chemical Society and is listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in Plastics and Polymers. |

Martin Pottle, Marketing and Public Relations
Mr. Pottle heads up our Marketing and Public relations activities. Mr. Pottle participates and advises SEI on marketing challenges, advertising opportunities, trade shows, seminars, direct marketing, ongoing literature and customer management. He and his associates work worldwide with the media to ensure our name and products, along with customer testimonials, get into print and Internet press on an ongoing basis.
His previous experience includes over twenty years in PR and marketing working with companies in North America, Germany, Japan, Finland, UK and France. Mr. Pottle also held positions with GAF Corporation, a Fortune 500 firm, and an affiliate of Young & Rubicam, the world’s largest advertising agency. Mr. Pottle has authored dozens of articles and has led speaking engagements internationally on marketing and penetration of foreign firms domestically.
Martin currently is the Chairman of University of Maryland Board of Fellows and sits on the Plastics Institute of America and the World Affairs Council of Rhode Island. He has served on numerous other industry boards, including the National Audio Visual Association, the American Diabetes Association and the Public Relations Society of America. Mr. Pottle graduated with a BA pre-law degree from Norwich University in VT, attended law school and took various oversea masters degree programs with the University of Maryland.
